Love myself?

Many of us reach out to heal others because we have a huge love as a result of our spirituality. Some of us reach out because we have been hurt ourselves and it is easier to love others and concentrate on them than look at ourselves and seek healing for our own ills.

It seems to me that as you get involved in healing and working with others there is something missing when you do not allow that healing to work on you yourself.

That can be pretty scary.

However - you trust enough to let this universal energy touch the lives of others so it kind of makes sense that the ethos behind that - no harm - applies to you too.

Therefore - nothing to be afraid of although it can be hard allowing healing. It reminds you how difficult it is for those who come to you too and it means that you are far more aware of what is going on for them.

Some would say that it also means you become a better healer - what do you think?

In the work that I do as a professional counsellor it seems to me that much of the pain people experience has a link to not being able to appreciate their own uniqueness. We look at our "bad" points and forget to look for all that is good about us.

If you are in that category I would simply urge you to allow healing in that area - and if I can be of help then please do get in touch.
